Women's Club Lacrosse Shows Support at the Domestic Violence and Awareness Vigil

On 10/12/22 Fairfield Women's Club Lacrosse attended the Domestic Violence and Awareness Vigil hosted in Bridgeport CT at the Hartford Healthcare amphitheater.

This service was dedicated to the 31 individuals in the greater Fairfield area who lost their lives to domestic violence, as well as those survivors sitting in the crowd that night. The Center for Family Justice alongside multiple organizations ranging from the surrounding police departments to the legal department made appearances and banded together. It was a chilling experience to learn about the prevalence of domestic violence but it was also a night of hope and remembrance. There were dance groups performing, individuals telling their own stories, and a wonderful show of support from the community.

Fairfield Women's Club Lacrosse members listened to the stories, struggles and came away from the vigil with greater perspective! We want to thank the Center for Family Justice for all that they do, and we're happy to have attended such an important event.
