Champagne, Anyone?
The stage was set for Rugby Fest 2024: Family, Friends, and gorgeous Weather.
The ladies moved the ball with purpose and flow on the restart Kick. Working the ball downfield, open-side flanker,
Brigid Muller '25 scored in the corner.

It's more of the same with Continuous ball movement and solid rucks. Multiple-phase rugby Sees Wing Maggie Kelly '25 Scoring in the opposite corner.

On the restart, the ladies continued their ball 'handling and support play with an athletic run by 13. Katie Quinn '26 almost scored but was denied by RPI's fullback tackle. RPI was able to poach, but constant defensive pressure and counter-rucking won the ball back on RPI's 10M line. Several Picks and go's led to a heads-up play by Kate R, who scored the near posts.

A mishandled ball and uncharismatic Defense by the team allowed a dynamic score Under the post by RPI.

The Ladies Regrouped on the restart, applied consistent pressure, and regained the ball deep in RPIs' Half, resulting in another score in the corner.

The ladies took their foot off the gas and made some uncharacteristic tackles, and iffy counteracting resulted in a 12-minute drought with minimal attack options. A last-ditch effort by RPI to score was thwarted by
Julia Demetropoulos '25 with a heads-up kick on an errant RPI pass on our 30m Long drove the ball back to the RPI 20m line.

With renewed energy, the ladies took to the field to resume their first-half heroics. Moving the ball fluidly and crisply to the 5M for a penalty,
Hannah Bershefsky '25 would not be denied and scored under the posts.

Off the restart, working the entire width of the field for 50 M with every player touching the ball, the ladies displayed Champagne rugby at its finest with a score near the Post for Bershefsky.
