This past Saturday, the Women's Club Basketball team played a doubleheader against Sacred Heart University. The Stags started the game with #12 Mia Theberge, #11 Liv Tedeschi-Moran, #14 Maddy Sadowski, #7 Emily Alt, and #4 Daria Coll. The first game started strong with the Stags winning the tip-off, but trailed against the Pioneers for the remainder of the game. This fast-paced half consisted of great ball movement to create a very back-and-forth game with only a 5-point deficit, the Stags trailing 29-24 going into halftime. After the second half, we saw #15 Cam McGinley contributed multiple three pointers to help keep the Stags in the game. Unfortunately, the Pioneers ran away with a 61-46 final at the end of the first game. 

The second game started off extremely similar to the first, with the Stags and Pioneers tied at multiple points in the first quarter. But the Stags came ready to fight for a win as they ended the half with a 32-28 lead. This intense battle continued into the next half as the Stags aimed to take back their lead after the Pioneers' 10-point run. Foul shots from #11 Liv Tedeschi-Moran and #13 Alyssa Spagnuolo sparked intense enthusiasm from the crowd and bench with only minutes left to come back. The Stags used this as motivation to shrink their deficit to a 53-58 loss as they fought till the end.
